As many of you may know, I had my first child over a  year ago. I’ve had many amazing experiences but motherhood has topped them all. It’s been such a journey watching him grow from he was in the womb to continue growing each week. Often, I look at him and marvel at his new steps, words, and attitude.

Like my businesses, a lot has changed with my son. He moved from baby talk to having whole opinions now. He tries to do everything himself now that I begin to wonder if he’ll soon fire mommy lol  He’s also in the phase where he imitates grown people so my husband and I have to be more mindful of what we say and do around him.

I’ve seen some admirable characteristics in him too. For instance, he’s confident and stands up for himself. And those are attributes he’ll need for later in life. I enjoy watching him grow, learn and become. However, I’m not in a rush to see him grow up too quickly. Sometimes, being an entrepreneur, I miss a few things as it relates to his childhood experiences. So we all want to savor these moments as much and whenever we can.

Remco, my husband, really adores our son and when I see them together, father and child, it melts me more than I could ever explain. After a year and more into this next stage of our partnership, I’m still not ‘used to’ having a son. I have to admit that children are indeed a tremendous blessing. Life is much more meaningful with family and I am so grateful for mine.

So here’s to you, my son, my life and Remco’s wouldn’t be the same without you. Mommy loves you forever (Just inserting this part here for when he gets older and reads my blog).
